GE wanted to introduce a new product that would launch a suite of smart home energy management solutions to help consumers make smarter choices around energy usage.
Design that looks ahead
Dragon Rouge identified the priority target and creative platform around the idea of ‘always looking ahead’ for a tech-chic lifestyle for the target consumer who tends to be driven by innovation in their lifestyle and attitude when it comes to technology. We wanted to create a new package that would transfer the idea from geek to chic but also educate and excite the consumer in a new category.
We developed a new unique structure for the pack, out of a paper carton material that was chosen to minimize the environmental impact of the package. For the new design, we also adhered to a design language that told a simple story and carried it through all elements of the pack. To enhance consumer understanding for product usage, we created a simple visual with a family of graphic icons to help explain the role and function of the Nucleus™ for GE’s anticipated range of home energy solutions and GE Brillion-enabled appliances.
A Brillant Idea
GE's Nucleus™ with Brillion™ technology was a success in helping GE activate Ecoimagination at the consumer level. GE continues to expand its commitment in home energy management with the growing range of Brillion™ technology solutions and Brillion-enabled appliances to help consumers fully maximize their ability to save energy, money and do good for the planet.
